About Me:

A Journey of Redemption and Pursuit

Hi! I'm Sean Rodriguez. I was born and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I grew up attending various Baptist churches, but I found my spiritual home at Community Baptist Coweta in 2020.

I was raised in a Christian home by my mother and grandparents, especially my grandfather Eddie, who played a significant role in my spiritual growth as a father figure. I got saved and accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at the young age of 6 years!

Even though I didn’t fully comprehend what a relationship with Him would look like, I knew it was what I wanted to do; and I can confidently say it was at that time God had me set apart for Him.

Growing up, I dealt with some challenges, like negative influences and online temptations that lingered for almost a decade. As I transitioned into young adulthood, I faced some big hurdles, including anxiety and depression, which felt overwhelming at times.

But through it all, God was always there for me. Even in moments when I felt alone, those difficult seasons helped me develop a closer relationship with Him. It’s amazing to look back and see how God guided me through some really hard moments, especially when I thought I’d hit rock bottom.

These experiences have moved me to be mindful of my mental health and fully embrace God’s will and grace. This led me on a path to glorify and praise Him in everything I do!

In every high and low, God was there for me, even when I wasn't seeking Him. He has been an amazing Father to me, and I want to live my life honoring Him and sharing the love He has shown me. The excerpt from Philippians, where Paul talks about learning the secret of facing various circumstances, has been a source of inspiration for my faith walk.

"I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need." - Philippians 4:12

We live in a lost and fallen world. My heart is to encounter others and share with them the transformative good news of The Gospel Message and have Kingdom Impact wherever I go. My hope for this new chapter of my life is to be in a place where I can be trained for ministry, so I can fully dedicate myself to God’s calling on my life.

My musical journey began at the age of 11 when I discovered the piano in my grandparents' home. Inspired by my favorite video game music, I taught myself to play using online resources. Despite my lack of formal training, I was encouraged by my grandmother to join the youth band at our church, First Baptist Broken Arrow. This led to my involvement in the youth worship team and ultimately ignited my passion for worship ministry.

Thanks to many of my leaders, and now lifelong friends, I found out what true worship is:

It’s not just something we do on Sundays or Wednesdays, something we have to check the box off for or perform a certain way. It’s giving our all back to the one who gave His all for us.

"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him." - John 4:23

My Goal is to serve in full-time Worship Ministry, where my love for music and dedication to worshiping God can inspire and impact others on a deeper level.
